Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom's monthly blog hop! You should have come from Morgan's fabulous blog Tweetscraps! This month we are featuring cardstock and stamps.  The challenge was to not use any patterned paper, only plain or colored cardstock with stamped sentiments and images. This is a fabulous challenge, considering CTMH is having a "Buy 2, get 1 free" Stampaganza special on stamps this month!

I decided to use a lot of the vibrant colors that I love and create my own patterned paper with my stamps.  I use the popular "So Many Smiles" stamp set with the masking technique to make my background paper.  It really was so fun to create!  Hope you like it!

April Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossom's CTMH April Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the Some Kind of Wonderful paper pack.  If you have come from Mary's blog, then you are hopping in the right direction! I am always inspired by Mary's creativity!

I chose to use all paper with just a couple of embellishments to create my cards.  I wanted to highlight as many of the beautiful patterns from this pack as I could (though I think I still might have missed one or two beauties).  I love mixing patterns and colors-- and the designers of this paper made it so easy to do that!  I love black and white mixed with bright colors, don't you? The sentiment was cut from the sheet of PML sections, ready to cut and use! I used double stick foam tape to attach the sentiment, to give it a little pop, white twine for the bow and black and white dots to finish it off.

February Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom's February blog hop!  I am sure you've seen some really beautiful projects from our team using this gorgeous "Hello Lovely" paper!  If you have come from sweet Mary's Pixie Dust Playground, you are moving in the right direction and I know you have seen some beautiful work!

 My contribution this time is simple and I have had to battle a comedy of errors along the way to get this done-- but the lesson here is never give up! LOL! :) To be more specific, I realized last night at 11:00 pm that TODAY was the day for the hop!  Did I have a project complete? That would be "No!" Did I panic a little-- yes!! I thought about calling in sick (To craft?  Yes, please!), but in all honesty, I have an extremely challenging class this year, and I just couldn't do it. It takes an awful lot for me to take a day off, and my conscience wouldn't let me. So, I ran home as soon as we had the "all clear" and I pulled out my paper. Could I find the stamps I wanted to use? Again, no. Well, the good news is that this WTW Hello Lovely packet has the most amazing set of Complements!  I trimmed the I and the U in the word "Beautiful" to make them smaller and used one of the gorgeous heart stickers to make my I heart U sentiment. I used one of the stunning floral stickers, a portion of the PML page for a frame and the zip strip trim and sparkle gems for embellishment. Voila! A pretty little card in very little time at all. :)  I realized my challenges were not over, though. My camera was no where to be found. So... iPhone to the rescue-- however, our 200 year old computer has some limited capabilities... and that, plus my own personal struggles with technology, put me a bit further into panic mode. Let's just say it took me an hour and 15 minutes to upload and edit (as the computer kept shutting down, re-starting and "repairing" -- thank goodness that worked btw!) my 1 single photo.  But, there it is. :) A testimony to perseverance! 

In all honesty, Hello Lovely was not my favorite paper in the Seasonal Expressions. I tend to run away from anything with peach or apricot tones.HOWEVER, after working with this paper and the gorgeous complements, I will tell you I now truly love it!  If you are at all hesitant, I would tell you that you will be amazed by how stunning this paper is in person. You. Will. Love. It.  I promise!

January Blog Hop

Welcome! Thanks for hopping along with the CTMH Rose Blossoms!  This month we are featuring new products from the brand new Seasonal Expressions. If you have come from Mary's Pixie Dust Playground, you are hopping in the right direction! I know she had something wonderful to share with you.

It was hard to pick just one thing to "show off" this time!  I seriously love everything in the new seasonal book. That being said, I finally settled on the Dreamin' Big paper pack.  I love the colors and the beautiful patterns. The floral paper had me at "hello!" Those flowers are precious and the reverse print is a fun scattering of little bugs-- perfect for those little boy pictures and cards or just a spring/summer touch,  The other patterns are just the complement needed for the bolder patterns or to allow you favorite photos to become the star. I also used the coordinating Dreamin Big Complements pack, which made decorating easy, and the Dreamin Big Scrapbooking stamp set.

So, I created a couple of fancy fold cards that remind me of little presents just begging to be opened:

And here are the insides:

It is hard to tell, but the card base is a 4.5 in gray cardstock square upon which a 4.25 buttercup square is mounted, and then a 12 x 4 in piece of folded patterned paper is attached on top. The 12 x 4 piece was scored at 4 and 8 inches to create a 3 sectioned piece that folded inward. The two outside flaps were then folded diagonally and hole punched to created the folded gates. Inside, I mounted a 3,75 inch square of pretty juniper patterned paper (solid cardstock is also a good choice, so that a message can be stamped or written). These cards were not too difficult and a lot of fun to make!  I hope you'll try one yourself!

Flower Market Blog Hop

Hello Crafty People!  Welcome to the RB Close to My Heart mid-month blog hop!  We are sharing projects created with the Flower Market Cricut cartridge this time. If you have come from my sweet friend Mary's blog, then I am sure you've seen something beautiful!

I have to be honest-- I was a little overwhelmed here! There are so many beautiful images to choose from-- everything from containers and every kind of flower imaginable, to bicycles, typewriters, banners, wreathes galore and more.  This is truly a fabulous cartridge to have!  When trying to pick just one to work with, I changed my mind so many times...  So, I finally narrowed it down to this sweet mason jar with a little lacy label.  The flowers were from the same page of the booklet and I cut them in three layers-- two shades of Thistle and one in a soft green called Willow. All of the papers used on the card are from the Whimsy Fundamentals collection.

October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  Thanks so much for visiting!  The Rose Blossom team is featuring the Close to My Heart October Stamp of the Month in this blog hop.  The stamp set is called Yuletide Joy and it is a beauty! If you have come from Shelly's beautiful blog, then you are on the right track!

This set reminds me of the oh-so-popular coloring books that are everywhere these days.  I was tempted to stamp in black and just color away!  I decided to go in a different direction, though and keep the stamping simple and do some random stamping for the background and then add a few embellishments. I used cranberry ink and cardstock, some glitter paper (brown-retired, I think) and gold dot paper from the Rustic Fundamentals. Popped a little bow on top and Voila! All done!  Here is the finished product:

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Happy July!  Welcome the to Rose Blossom team's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We are featuring the July Stamp of the Month set.  If you are coming from Cathy's beautiful blog, I am sure you've seen some gorgeous work!

To be honest, this set had me stumped at first!  There is so much there to work with that can be used in so many ways!  So, my first project was a card (surprise!  lol!),  I used the tag stamp to create a background pattern, and used the "Hello" tag to mount the sentiment. I'm thinking of using that stamp to make name tags for my students for back to school!  I used Calypso papers, complements and washi tape on this card.

Anyway, :my second project isn't really a project... I just pulled out my planner and used those adorable tiny stamps to mark very important activities!  They are PERFECT for that task, and there are plenty to choose from... Grocery cart, star, envelope, pencil, heart and more!

RB Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  This week we are taking a look at our retiring Cricut cartridges. If you have come from Morgan's blog, you are on the right track and surely have seen something wonderful!

I have to be honest, I am so sad to see these cartridges retire.  I know CTMH is going to have something absolutely fantastic to replace them, but I really love them all, so if you don't have these cartridges, I would run and grab them before they're gone. My very favorite cartridge is the Art Philosophy cartridge.  There are so many basic and useful shapes... there really is something for every project.  I used it to cut circles for the Mickey heads, the gift bag shape, the card, background layers and the scalloped trim.

 I have been so excited to jump back in with this hop featuring our Cricut cartridges. (It has been a little while!)  Honestly, I don't know what I did before I had my Cricut!  I use it for absolutely everything that I create!  But honestly, I am having a truly difficult time getting going again.  I have been working hard to get over pneumonia and an ear infection and it is really zapping all of my energy.  So-- apologies for the TMI. I am going to offer up a replay of one of my favorite creations with the Cricut.  These cards were created with the Artbooking cartridge.  The papers used are Dream Pop and Chantilly (no longer available).  Simple, but cheery. I hope they brighten your day!

RB Constant Campaign Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom's Constant Campaign Blog Hop! If you have come from Mary's fabulous blog, then you are hopping in the right direction!

We are featuring the "Share the Love" stamp set.  This stamp set is perfect for creating thing for friends and "more than friends" lol.  I know Valentine's Day has (barely) passed, but to me, every day is a day to celebrate love! With that in mind, I created a few bookmarks to give to my sweetest friends. :) I know many of us these days do our reading on a Kindle or IPad (I <3 my Kindle!), but there is really nothing like having a real book in your hands, is there?  I am always scrambling for a bookmark, and usually come up empty-- resorting to a scrap of paper or a down-turned page. So I decided to upgrade a bit:  ;)

I used Paper Fundamentals for the patterned paper (love!) and solid black and white cardstock for background and fancy cuts.  All fancy cuts were accomplished with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.

February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Hello all!  Happy February!  Can you believe that it is February already?  Doesn't it seem like Christmas was just here?  I do love Christmastime, but I have to tell you, I loooove Valentine's Day, too!  Hearts and flowers, pinks, reds and sparkles-- it all just makes my heart pitter-pat!  LOL! :)  It's the first of the month and that means a Stamp of the Month blog hop!  If you've come from Cathy's blog, I am sure you've seen some spectacular projects and you are on the right track!

This set this month is so cute!  I can't help but think of a party when I see these adorable balloon animals!  I know my typical "go to" creation is a card ('cos that's what I do!), but this time I wanted to do something a little different.  I thought these little cuties would make precious cupcake toppers, so I made one of those to go with a card. I used my Cricut to cut the circles and flowers, popped a couple of balloon cuties aboard and we are ready to party!

December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom team's stamp of the month blog hop!  Thanks so much for joining us!  I know you've seen some gorgeous work from my talented team-mates! If you've come from  Cathy's blog, you are headed in the right direction!

Well can you believe that it is December already? Right now my world is full of Christmas crafts, trees and ornaments, Secret Santa surprises and, of course, shopping, wrapping and sweet secret keeping! I even have a cute little elf named Sparkle creating mischief in my kindergarten classroom. :) BUT, honestly, it is 60 degrees here in Georgia this week and it is feeling a tad Spring-ish!  The December stamp of the month is also a breath of spring-- and, oh, so hard to resist!  The set features a candle, a mason jar, a string of twinkle lights and equally as sweet sentiments. I really, really, love it!

Instead of stamping the images on plain card stock, I decided to try stamping on a beautiful Close to My Heart PML card that was sprinkled with shiny gold dots!  I painted the mason jar and flowers with a combination of watercolors and alcohol markers. I mounted this on a card created with black card stock and La Vie En Rose paper embellished with pink polka dot "zip strip" and shiny gold adhesive trim.  I added a bow made with vintage CTMH gingham ribbon and-- voila!  All done!  :)

RB Sangria Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom's Blog Hop!  This time we are featuring Sangria!  No, not the drink (though that does sound rather refreshing at the moment!)-- the beautiful selection of papers from Close to My Heart.  I absolutely love the palette of colors and the patterns in these papers. Sooo "Fall!" If you came from Cathy's blog, you are traveling in the right direction. :)

I wanted to do something that would show off all of those pretty colors and patterns and pulled out the always sweet "Dahlia fold" to create a centerpiece for my cards. I hope you like them!

October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Rose Blossom October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring a really fun set of Christmas stamps called "Twinkle."  If you came from Mary's blog, I'm sure you've seen some amazing artwork already!

I am already thinking of Christmas-- with 8 nieces and nephews to purchase for, I start shopping early. :)  Actually, most of them are teenagers now, which makes it a little easier... all they want is money and gift cards. So, I kept this creation super simple, since I'll be making so many of them!  I created gift card holders using the Artiste cartridge.  I cut the cards out of Kraft and used the new CTMH holiday paper called White Pines.  A few cuts from the cartridge, a bit of this beautiful paper and some pretty ribbon and all I need to add are the gift cards.  Voila-- gifts for all of those nieces and nephews, DONE! :)
