Later Sk8r!

I had so much fun putting this card together!  The sketch is from Mojo Monday. At first, I wasn't too sure about all of those circles, but once I decided on the paper to use, it all just came together. The CTMH Later Sk8r paper has such fun colors and prints! Perfect for that little (or big) guy in your life. But you know, it's not just for the guys-- I love the colors too,  and I really think it could appeal to  everyone!

I cut the circles with my Cricut, and the gears border, too. The white cardstock was embossed with circles all over using my Cuttlebug (hope you can see it!). Anywho-- hope you enjoy this fun little card! :)

Birthday Wishes

Just like Thank You notes, I can never have enough Birthday cards hanging around!  Seems like there is always a birthday or two happening these days!

I totally admit that I am addicted to pretty paper. I've recently been trying to organize it all-- including the scraps. I just can't make myself throw any of it away, unless it is just too tiny or damaged to be used. So, I went through my scraps and pulled out this colorful paper-- zig-zag on one side and a brown wood print on the other. I just love it! I THINK it is from My Mind's Eye, but am not sure. The stamps are from an old set that is also missing a label-- it is from CTMH and I think may be called "Celebrate" or "Celebrate the Everyday."

This is a simple card with very few layers and no embellishment. I love the little gift image, and the  circle and scallop cuts were made using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The ink is from CTMH; I used Pear, Lagoon and Chocolate.

Spring Idea Book Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Rose Blossoms Spring/Summer Idea Book Blog Hop! I am so glad that you have stopped by my blog along the way! You should have come to me from Lynn's blog. The rules for the hop are simple, and I'll tell you all about them after I share my artwork! My assignment was to use the For Always papers to create cards. I hope you like them!

This card features a scallop cut border using patterned paper from the For Always paper pack and cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The stamped image and sentiment are from the Hello Tweety stamp set. I used clear sparkles and small clear sparkle flourishes to accent, and then added a tiny bit of "vintage" black gingham ribbon (a retired CTMH product that still continues to be a favorite of mine!) The White Daisy cardstock was embossed using my Cuttlebug-- I've had it over a year and this is the first time I've used it! Such fun!!. The card base is Lagoon cardstock.

For this card, I added a little pink with some patterned paper from the Chantilly pack.  I cut several pieces of patterned paper with the scallop border cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and the fancy frame and the cupid with the Artiste cartridge. The card is accented with some clear sparkle gems and a bit of black tulle ribbon.

This card was inspired by a Pinterest find. I used For Always papers and Ruby cardstock. The circles were easy to cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge and the doily and hearts were cut with the Artiste cartridge. My husband says that this is his favorite of all the cards I've ever made. Good thing, sweetie-- 'cuz it's your very own hand-madeV-Day card! ;)

Here are the simple rules for the hop:

**Collect one word at each blog stop
**My word is "AND."
**Brenda is at the end of the hop, and you will write your completed sentence there. Don't worry that your comment doesn't show! Brenda has the comments hidden for the blog hop!
**The winner of the grand prize will be randomly selected from the completed sentences!

Here's a peek at the Grand Prize! You will recieve (compliments of the generous Brenda Rose!), the Buzz and Bumble paper pack and the Honeycomb stamp set (pictured in use below):

If you are inspired here today, I would love for you to follow me and comment on my blog!

Your next stop on the hop is Marg's blog. Should you get lost along the way, here is the order:

Create in Me a Pure Heart

The layout for this card comes from this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the sentiment is from Verve. I think the message is perfect for Valentine's Day and is also a daily prayer for my life.

I love the pinks, yellows and greens of the CTMH Chantilly papers. They speak of love, freshness and renewal to me-- a perfect complement to the verse on the card. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Claire with a Little Mojo

This fun and funky Claire paper was delivered to my doorstep this afternoon!  I love the colors and patterns (I say that a lot about CTMH papers!) and I really enjoyed working them into the latest Mojo Monday sketch. I used the Girls Rule stamp set for the flowers and the sentiment is from the Casual Expressions set.

I used Outdoor Denim cardstock and ink, as well as Hollyhock and Tulip Inks. The card base is Colonial White and the flower is popped on a pop dot with a clear sparkle gem in the center.

Love at Home

This beauty of a card arrived in my mailbox yesterday and was created by the amazingly talented Brenda Rose!  Isn't it beautiful? I love how she used the Buzz and Bumble papers and the honeycomb stamp with the February stamp of the month set. Thank you Brenda!  You can visit her blog here.

Just a Little Hello...

This little owl is from last month's Whoo's Your Valentine special. I am loving all of the cute little owls these days! The paper is from the new Chantilly pack (love that little zip strip at the bottom!) paired with some Pemberly I had on hand. I love the combination of Pear and Outdoor Denim.

Hmmm... I heard that there is a football game on tonight.  Not sure about all that (lol!), but I do know that it is Downton Abbey night and the tv had better be free at 9 pm!! :)

Have a great week, friends!
