Happy Go Lucky

So here is my first go at one of the Retro Sketches. I love the fun easiness of this pattern. I picked my papers, and it came together quickly! This is a great pattern for using up bits of extra paper. I pulled some "Happy Go Lucky" paper (My Mind's Eye) from my stash and created this card for my niece's 17th birthday. She is a fun, sweet, smart, happy go lucky girl and I think this card will be perfect for her.:)  Happy Birthday, sweet Macey! Aunt Kristine loves you!

Beautiful

So much about this season is beautiful-- just the way it is... don't you agree?  The changing leaves, the cooling weather. I'll say it again, I just love Fall.  The sentiment on this stamp (from Verve) is perfect for this season and also for so many people in my life. Beautiful-- just as they are. :)

I am linking up to the Mojo Monday challenge.  Here's what I came up with. :)

Give Thanks

With Fall in the air, I just had to break out the Huntington paper pack!  Look at those gorgeous colors! The design for this card is from Freshly Made Sketches and I am also linking this up to the Heart 2 Heart Challenge-- this week the challenge is "Au Naturale"-- to use natural colors or items from nature.

Harvest Happiness

It's been a while since I have played along with the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday! And this week-- well, it's Saturday and I am just now getting there! I loved the simplicity of the sketch, but sometimes that makes it even harder to put it all together. I spent a lot of time on this card today-- even consulted my husband for his opinion, couldn't seem to settle on the perfect combination. I do love how it turned out, though!

I pulled out some old favorite papers and stamps for this one. The paper is called Dreamin'. I absolutely love the patterned paper in this group!  It just shouts "Fall!" to me. :) I also used some of the Bronze Shimmer Trim... it is hard to see just how sparkly and fabulous it really is, but trust me, it IS fabulous!!

Happy Owl-oween!

I am so happy it is October!  I have a serious love for all things Fall, and the month of October is at the top of the list. I love that the weather starts to get cooler and the leaves start to change. I love fall weather and I love Halloween!

At my elementary school, every fall we have a Fall Festival. It is so much fun for the kids and we raise money to support the Rally Foundation. It is a win-win for everyone! There are bouncies, a dunk tank, games, face painting, a bungee jump, food trucks, a cake walk, crafts, and so much more! There is also an auction where each classroom has donated a basket and a decorated pumpkin to be raffled off. This year our basket has an "I Love to Read!" theme-- it is awesome. :) Our pumpkin is awesome, too! :) I cut most of the pieces at home with my cricut and the kindergarteners all helped attach everything. They LOVE it and I do too. Our room moms were fighting over who would win it!  I hope it is a popular item.

We decided to decorate it like an owl because that is how my classroom is decorated. I was inspired by several projects on Pinterest, but ours is completely unique.  The paper is Spellbound from the "While Supplies Last" section of my website.
