October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  Thanks so much for visiting!  The Rose Blossom team is featuring the Close to My Heart October Stamp of the Month in this blog hop.  The stamp set is called Yuletide Joy and it is a beauty! If you have come from Shelly's beautiful blog, then you are on the right track!

This set reminds me of the oh-so-popular coloring books that are everywhere these days.  I was tempted to stamp in black and just color away!  I decided to go in a different direction, though and keep the stamping simple and do some random stamping for the background and then add a few embellishments. I used cranberry ink and cardstock, some glitter paper (brown-retired, I think) and gold dot paper from the Rustic Fundamentals. Popped a little bow on top and Voila! All done!  Here is the finished product:

. Now, hop on along to Sue's lovely blog to see what she has in store!

xoxo,
Kristine

  2. Stunning! Your designs are always so well-executed. I love the background stamping and it reminds me a bit of red toile. So elegant and yet so homespun with the rustic ribbon.
